Total books read: 4 plus 11 children's (some 2x)
Total pages read: 887 (mine only)
Total time spent reading: 21.5
Total blogs visited as a cheerleader: 115
Total time spent sleeping: 0
Total money raised for juvenile diabetes research: still coming in
Thoughts:
I was a reader, a cheerleader and hosted a mini challenge. A bit much, no?
I am a bit disappointed in the number of pages I was able to read and in the number of total books that I was able to read. My choices were awful. The only book that I actually really liked was Shelf Life (stories). Annie Freeman's Fabulous Traveling Funeral, though it had a great theme, was the never ending book. It literally took hours upon hours to read. My Life on a Plate was a bad choice as well since it didn't have much point to it. The One Minute Mother was good but it was so short it hardly counts.
I thought that I was a pretty fast reader but the combination of the books I chose and the long hours reading slowed me down I think.
I had 7 wonderful sponsors for which I am most grateful but I wish I had had more. Since I haven't received all the checks that I know I'll be getting, I don't have a total amount as of now. It definitely blew my fear of only raising $5 out of the water though! And Reading for Adison was the reason that I plowed through when my eyes started stinging and the words started swimming on the page. I just remembered why I was doing this and then I'd get a new burst of energy.
