Love Walked in by Marisa de los Santos - a review

Title: Love Walked In
Author: Marisa de los Santos
Pages: 307
Read because: book blog's were buzzing about this one!
Rating: 4/5

Once again my fellow book bloggers haven't let me down. This was a fantastic read. I loved the characters of Cornelia and Clare. I loved that it alternated each chapter between the two. I do have to admit that I was a bit disappointed in the ending but it still made sense.

The book begins with one of the best lines I've read in a long time..."My life - my real life - started when a man walked into it, a handsome stranger in a perfectly cut suit, and, yes, I know how that sounds." Cornelia is the manager of a hip cafe in Philadelphia when in walks Cary Grant look-a-like Martin Grace. A huge old movie fan, Cornelia is immediately smitten.

Clare Hobbes, a little girl who lives on the other side of town, is dealing with the declining mental health of her mother. When Clare and Cornelia meet, Love Walked In.

A touching story of family and friendship, Love Walked In is a wonderful read. I look forward to Marisa de los Santos' other book, Belong to Me which is on Mount TBR!
